In 2022, the Lauderdale County Health Council, The City of Ripley, and Dr. Taylor (grant writer) secured $431,000 to help address two of the three goals. We provided funds for a community bike give away and helped the city build new pickleball courts. The HUB - A Lauderdale Resource (current project) is a three year Department of Health grant.

Betah Group Inc is a minority run non-profit. Dr. Simpfronia Taylor is President and CEO. Dr. Taylor is a grassroots motivator of communities and people. The work is rooted in the understanding that change is possible as small groups of committed leaders join together. Dr. Taylor is the Director of Grants and Community programs at the University of Tennessee Martin.
Currently Dr. Taylor supervises/directs three projects;

Mrs. Aretha Gooden serves as the Coordinator for the The HUB.
Mrs. Gooden is the central figure in the day-to-day operations of the HUB and leads our mission to connect underserved community members to essential health and social services. This role is critical to unifying county resources and addressing social determinants of health.
